It's chaotically entertaining in all its vibrant colors, and most definitely stands tall as one of the most memorable VR games in the fitness world. The concept behind Beat Saber is as clear as day: thrash two neon sabers about to a mixture of preloaded rhythms and beats. Beat Saber, for example, has been drawing eyes for the best part of four years now, yet its developer still shows no signs of easing up on the reins, which makes it not only one of the best live-service models, but also one of the best incentives for budding athletes and fitness fanatics to indulge in, too. To tell you the truth, any VR game that can incorporate a thick layer of fitness-based activity is bound to garner a few sets of eyes. Let it be said, though, that if you enjoyed the dark tone of the original game - then this probably isn't the spiritual successor you're looking for. Add the fact that you can aimlessly wander an open world Los Angeles and cause endless chaos, and you've got yourself the basic setup for one of the most entertaining VR games in history. But, to have the opportunity to pick the perpetrator's nose mid-interrogation and slap them with a notepad just because is a whole other story, and quite simply one of the most amusing things ever conceived for a video game. And yet, just as soon as it made way for VR, a whole new door was opened, and it somehow transformed a dark fantasy into an almost fictionalized parody sketch filled with endless caricatures and hilarious subplots. At least, you wouldn't have when it first launched back in 2011 as a semi-serious crime drama that employed more controversial subjects than any other game of its generation. It's funny, because you wouldn't usually pin Rockstar's L.A. That said, if you're looking to handpick five of the best VR games for your library, then these following entries should definitely make your list. And so, if you're looking to delve into a world that, quite frankly, fosters more entertainment value than any other bog-standard gaming division on the family tree, then you're in the right place. VR is thriving in its own special way, and it collectively provides a ridiculous amount of quality titles, be they PSVR, Oculus Quest, or HTC Vive. The good news is, the market isn't exactly short on beacons of entertainment to bathe in, either.

Together, the platform makes for one of the most appealing and demographically sound in all of gaming, and it warrants the question: just why aren't there as many VR games as there are, say, console or PC games? And, let us not forget that VR, in general, does house some of the best ice-breaking party games on the market, period. It's food for thought, given that there is, in all fairness, a certain level of player interactivity that typically binds to most of its releases.
